Bluebird Theater

The Bluebird Theater started hosting live music in 1994, and it didn't take long for the theater, built in 1913, to become one of the city's best midsized venues. With sculpted capitals, restored Victorian-style paintings and a vaulted ceiling, the place is as much a work of art as any of the touring and local bands that grace its stage. The marquee regularly lights up Colfax with some of the most important names in independent music, as well as lauded locals ready to make the leap from clubs to a bigger stage. In 2006, AEG Live took over the room and made significant upgrades to the production aspects of the place.

Parking for the Bluebird Theater is located across the street in the Paradise Cleaners parking lot. If this lot is full, street parking is available on Colfax Avenue, 16th Street and 14th Street. Adams and Cook streets are residential parking with permit. Please refrain from parking on these streets.

Directions: From the Mountains (West): Take I-70 East then merge onto US-6 E/6th Ave. From 6th Ave merge onto I-25 North and go to the Colfax Ave exit (exit 210A) towards downtown. Take Colfax Ave east for approximately five miles going past York St. The Bluebird Theater is located between Adams & Cook streets on E. Colfax Ave. From DIA (East): From Pena Blvd. merge onto I-70 W via the exit on the left. Merge onto Colorado Blvd./CO-2 S. exit (exit 276B). Turn right onto E. Colfax Ave, go west for less than a mile. The Bluebird Theater is located between Adams & Cook streets on E. Colfax Ave.

From Boulder, CO (Northwest): Take US-36 East for 18 miles to I-25 South. Take I-25 South for 3 miles to the West 38th Ave/Park Ave exit (exit 213). Merge onto Park Ave West, Park Ave West becomes 22nd St. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto Broadway, then turn left onto E. Colfax Ave. Take E. Colfax Ave for approximately two miles, the Bluebird Theater is located between Adams & Cook streets on E. Colfax Ave.

From Fort Collins, CO (North): Take I-25 South for 57 miles to Denver. Take I-25 South to the West 38th Ave/Park Ave exit (exit 213). Merge onto Park Ave West, Park Ave West becomes 22nd St. Turn slightly right onto Broadway, then turn left onto E. Colfax Ave. Take E. Colfax Ave for approximately two miles, the Bluebird Theater is located between Adams & Cook streets on E. Colfax Ave.

From the DTC (Tech Center) (South): Take I-25 North into Denver. Get off at the Colfax Ave exit (exit 210A). Take Colfax Ave east towards downtown for approximately five miles going past York St. The Bluebird Theater is located between Adams & Cook streets on E. Colfax Ave.
