Lakeside Lounge
Loc. in: New York, NY
Established in 1996 DJ / Rock Writer Jim "The Hound" Marshall and Guitarist / Record Producer Eric "Roscoe" Ambel decided they needed their own little bar in the East Village. One that would be a great time when it was packed and inviting when it was empty. Tired of music mills with 5 bands and expensive drinks they opened the Lakeside which was named in tribute to Ambel's favorite bar on Lake Geneva in Fontana, WI. They figured they would have some great music on the box and have just one band play just one set per night. Kinda like James Brown and the Famous Flames in the movie "Ski Party". Over the years they have hosted a lot of great artists including Rudy Rae Moore, Freedy Johnston, Steve Earle, Andre Williams, Robert Randolph, Question Mark & the Mysterians, The Mike Hunt Band, The Yayhoos and Simon & The Bar Sinisters
