Cocoon Club

Cocoonclub's music programming features a bit of everything, from clubsound to live-concerts, jazz, soul and even rock (yep, that's right). However all things techno and house are of course the "typical" cocoonclub sound that we like to feature as often and as deep and avantgarde as possible. And following a strong tradition which goes back to the high days of the Dorian Gray, the Omen and the almighty XS and Monza clubs we especially focus on friday nights with our "sound of frankfurt"! And this sound is co-developed and strongly influenced by no other than Sven Veth himself and his music family which existed around his EyeQ and Harthouse labels in the past and can now be found in the Cocoon Recordings and Cocoon Music family (and friends). Some of the biggest names in the tech-house-circus shared their definition of techno and house with us here at the club so far. Names like Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Carl Cox or Marco Carola (just to name a few) are regularly here behind the desks. We also opened our programm on fridays for other big names that represent slightly different scales of techno and house such as Tiesto or the UK based Toolroom label. More and new concepts that pick up new trends and differents formats (e.g. more live-concerts on weekend nights) are currently under construction and will be presented soon.

Cocoonclub is a musical nation that exists of many states. Clubmusic and clubbers taste has become so versatile that it is hardly possible to focus on only one or two streams these days. Especially housemusic has become a part of our every day life even for people who have no club history that started in the mid or late 90s. The international main players of housemusic such as David Guetta, Afrojack or the Swedish Housemafia (just to name a few) added elements of mainstream and a commercial touch to the sound without leaving the actual club context. Some time ago we decided to give this music stream a home at cocoonclub, too and made space on our saturdays for brands and promoters like Envy, Ministry Of Sound and Hed Kandi. Music that you might know from the radio or that you might have heard and seen in tv commercials. However all with an underground twist, hedonistic and always with the intention to celebrate and create a great time in one of the world leading clubs with one of the best sound- and light-set-ups one can found on this planet. Besides this "new house" movement and little journeys into new rave ("Fake" nights) we also present a great r&b and disco/soul night from the very beginning with our resident DJ Katch and his "Delorean" nights on our second floor. One of the best in the city and region to say the least going on strong now for seven years!
