E-Werk in Erlangen is an important cultural center in the region and beyond, and is known as one of the largest cultural centers in Germany.
The E-factory houses a cinema and four different sized venues - from the family "basement stage" to the great hall. Every year, 250,000-300,000 attend an event at E-werk, which organizes nearly 200 live acts each year, from all genres: hip-hop, reggae, world music, jazz, rock, pop, Independent, singer-songwriter, folk, punk, literature, poetry slam, theater, cabaret, cabaret ... and promoting local and regional scene with weekly gigs. They also have regular parties, the jazz series (for free!), the Poetry Slam and concert series such as "To the East" and "Insular".
