Description The Altar Bar is much more than a building. After spending a century as a church and eventually being abandoned it was purchased and renovated with a dream to stand in the forefront of a mission to resurrect live music in Pittsburgh\'s Strip District. This 650 capacity venue caters to music across all genres and demographics as well as hosting numerous private events like RocknRoll Weddings and parties for the several Pittsburgh Universities. The Altar Bar is 3 floors of beautiful architecture with a high-end RockNRoll ambience that is unmatched in the Western Pennsylvania region. The bottom level features a private VIP Lounge with a full bar and also used as a private Green Room for talent when required. This floor also features large public restrooms and a full kitchen. The main floor features a full size stage, runway, large iridescent bar and a state-of-the-art sound system that continues to impress musicians and audience members nightly. An impressive lit spiral stairway leads to the upper balconies that wrap around the venue with tables and chairs as well as couches, a private VIP room and a full bar. Additional Features: Custom laser system from LightWave (Coachella, Bonaroo) with full logo and graphic capabilities. Intelligent lighting system including multiple LED par cans, standard Par 64s and various other DMX lighting. Three 10 foot projection screens and nine 50 inch LCD TVs are all networked to multiple DVD players, multiple computers and 12 live camera feeds. This system is also able to record live video and sound to DVDs.
